In the early 1940s, there were forests and snowy fields in Northeast China. Geng Xiaoshan, the captain of the anti-resistance alliance, was ordered to sneak into the "Yingzui Lizi", the lair of the gangster "Huo Ye", to investigate the collusion between the gangsters and Japan, and to find the truth behind his father's disappearance.
At the beginning of the operation, the team was surrounded and suppressed. In a desperate situation, the wolves descended from the sky like divine soldiers, tearing apart the pursuers but sparing the resistance. Xiaoshan was shocked to find that the leader of the wolf pack, the giant wolf with a slight lame left leg, looked at him like a long-lost old friend. That was the wolf cub "Grey Hair" that he rescued as a child and was forced to release. Today, it is the king of the snowfield.
One person and one wolf meet again in the enemy's lair.
Xiaoshan sneaked into the village as a hunter, dealing with the suspicious Lord Huo and the cold second master, looking for the comrade codenamed "Shanhuai", and every step of the way was startling.
Outside the village, the Wolf King's gaze is everywhere: the eerie bonfire in the middle of the night, the fresh paw prints under the wall, the howl in the night sky conveying information... There are more than just people fighting in this game of chess.
When the weirdness of human nature and the depth of wolf nature collide in this ice and snow cage, a secret war has quietly begun. But Xiaoshan must find out: Is the returning Wolf King an old friend who protects him, or a hunter with ulterior motives?
