In The Confidence, aspiring actress Su Jinbei (played by Zhang Yuxi) turns down the marriage her family arranged years ago. After missing the engagement banquet, she is unexpectedly hospitalized following a car accident. When she wakes up, she discovers that she has lost her precious first kiss. Then, by a stroke of luck, she meets her attending doctor, Zhou Shiwen (played by Ding Yuxi), and learns that he is the “fiance” to whom she was betrothed as a child. She falls in love at first sight and takes the initiative, boldly turning the tables on him. She deliberately creates opportunities, changing her look each time to stage chance encounters with Zhou Shiwen by the roadside.
