Selling Dim Sum in Guangzhou in the 1990s

Looking for Historical-Era Stories, Whether Rural or Urban. No Dumplings, Please

I’ve read so many novels set in bygone eras, whether they’re about going to the countryside or living in the city, and they always make dumplings seem like a feast. It’s getting really tiresome. Please recommend stories where things feel more normal: New Year’s Eve dinner is a proper feast, people eat tangyuan for the Lantern Festival, and they enjoy the right foods for each holiday.
