I’ve read so many novels set in bygone eras, whether they’re about going to the countryside or living in the city, and they always make dumplings seem like a feast. It’s getting really tiresome. Please recommend stories where things feel more normal: New Year’s Eve dinner is a proper feast, people eat tangyuan for the Lantern Festival, and they enjoy the right foods for each holiday.
