In a damp, chilly orphanage, Mu Bai and Mu Er each endured nineteen years of being ignored by everyone. They had never met, yet shared the loneliness of being abandoned by the world. Struggling at the bottom, both had grown sharp and hard.
Then one day, blood-red clouds crushed the city skyline and strange phenomena shook the heavens and earth. An invisible force dragged countless people into an alternate dimension known as the “Horror Game.” The two boys, whose fates were so alike, were swept in together amid the chaos.
When they opened their eyes, they were in an abandoned manor overrun with dead vines. Only the wild red roses bloomed with an eerie glow in the stillness. The crowd fell apart in panic, screams and sobs tearing through the uncanny silence. Only Mu Bai and Mu Er stood in the shadows, coldly surveying everything before them.
A crackling mechanical voice suddenly rang through the manor: “Welcome, players… to the Horror Game. Mission: Survive tonight. Failure… means death.”
The static faded with a shrill hiss. A cold mission panel appeared before each person, displaying their assigned role in the instance and instructions for survival. Just then, a butler in a tailcoat pushed open the creaking door. His smile was so warm it sent chills down their spines. “Welcome, honored guests. Please come inside with me.”… All right, that’s all I’m going to say. Read the rest yourselves!
