The Demon-Suppressing Bureau of Guixu

In the final years of the Great Qian Dynasty, demons and monsters run rampant, and the seal on Guixu is weakening. Gu Qingzhou, a junior officer in the Demon-Suppressing Bureau, possesses the “Merit Record,” which grants him rewards from the Heavenly Dao whenever he slays demons. While investigating a bizarre case involving a fox demon who skins its victims, he is unexpectedly drawn into a shocking conspiracy between the imperial court and traitors in the Daoist sects. Facing suspicion from his colleagues, temptation from demons, and infighting among the sects, Gu Qingzhou remains true to his original vow: “Eliminate demons and uphold the Dao, with compassion in your heart.” He solves case after case and grows stronger, striving for the Golden Core Dao, until he exposes the traitor lurking among the Demon-Suppressing Bureau’s leadership. Joining forces with the great sects, he reforges the Guixu seal, sweeps away the demonic menace, and becomes the youngest first-rank Celestial Master in the Bureau’s history.
