Modern soldier Qin Feng is betrayed during a border mission and falls to his death from a cliff.
When he opens his eyes again, he has transmigrated into the body of a squad leader among the retreating troops in Northeast China during the Japanese occupation of 1931.
Military orders tell him to retreat south, but behind him are the weeping people of the Northeast.
Qin Feng smashes his military insignia and raises a sharpened silver coin inherited from his ancestors. "Not one inch of this land will be surrendered!"
