I write these stories very slowly.
Sometimes I stop writing at three in the morning because a certain character suddenly starts crying in my sleep;
Sometimes I delete an entire chapter and rewrite it, just because I don't say "goodbye" lightly enough, for fear of crushing the reader's heart.
I know that tearing up is not the purpose.
The real pain is never about crying, but when you close the book and suddenly think of someone or something, your throat tightens, but you can only smile at the air.
So if your eyes get hot when you read a certain page -
Don't blame me for being cruel, it's because you have an unhealed wound in your heart.
And I just touched it lightly.
Every letter in this book has no signature.
But now, it's in your hands.
Maybe you are the one who is waiting for you.
I hope that when you close the book,
Not more sad, but more understanding——
Those unfulfilled loves have truly illuminated the world.
——A person who, like you, believes that tears have weight.
All the stories in this book are fictional or adapted from real events.
