Bullet comments + livestreaming + ensemble cast + funny everyday life + no romance for the protagonist (side characters have couples) + unconventional infinite-flow + not a power fantasy + slow burn
The main storyline is geared toward male readers, with some female-oriented elements. There will be some male-male and female-female couples, but most relationships are between men and women. Given the nature of this world, most characters' genders can't be determined. At most, they can be described as appearing male or female, or as sexless.
This is a long novel, projected to run 300,000 to 400,000 words, so it's a very slow burn, with plenty of everyday-life scenes too.
Things to keep in mind while reading:
Don't apply ordinary human thinking to the creatures in this story. I only realized as I wrote that there are surprisingly few stories that don't take human thought as their starting point. Does that mean I'm writing about nonhumans? Still, they do wear human skin.
Don't impose the concept of “time” or human thought on them.
At the Boundary, “she” and “he” mainly distinguish outward appearances. In the worldlines, the setting is too varied to define “she” and “he” consistently, so anyone with reproductive agency (commonly called female) is referred to as “she.”
The Boundary is a place where countless species gather. They have been warped into the same form, and their perceptions have changed. No one knows why they came here, but they all share one trait: death.
Gradually, a new order takes shape.
No one said you can't rate yourself, so I did, hehehe
There are no surprises so far, it's quite interesting, but the author doesn't want to take advantage of it. It's really inhumane, and the concept is really novel. There are many different categories of love concepts, values, etc. I didn't realize it at first, but I felt that it was quite similar to human society. But as the concepts were laid out later, I found that it was really a very novel social system. The setting of the world line is also very good. I always feel that there are still a lot of foreshadowings and the like. I hope the author can get it right. The content of the world line is really interesting. It is a very novel book! Overall, I feel that the world view is quite grand, but maybe it's because it's too short, I haven't figured it out yet. Author, please update! And I really like the four little ones, they are super cute and sometimes a little inhuman. To be honest, I was a little shocked. They all have the highest authority and surveillance over each other's home. In other words, whatever one party does, others can see. I don't know if this is a popular concept or a unique idea belonging to these four people. All in all, the setting is novel and has its own set of concepts and philosophy. It has many daily uses and is very cozy. I really like watching the four little ones interact. Something is wrong, the new ones seem to have plunged into an unspeakable abyss.
