[Two Female Leads] [Both Strong] [Happy Ending] [Lighthearted Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi] [The Female Lead Starts Out Lazing Around, Then Is Forced to Rise to the Challenge] [Slow-Burn Romance] [Fun Ensemble Cast] [Funny and Exciting, Sweet Overall]
The first thing that happened when she woke up was getting shocked. The second was finding out she owed five million.
Fantesi crawled out of an energy pod with her mind wiped clean. She didn't remember who she was or where she came from. The only thing she remembered were three words: "Stay alive." She had no idea who had put them in her head.
The woman in the white lab coat was called Shi Yu. A neat freak, sharp-tongued and cold, she looked at Fantesi like a lab rat. After stitching up her heart, she handed her a bill: fifty a day, and it would take 270 years to pay off.
Fantesi wanted to run, but outside the base there was only yellow sand and mutated creatures. Inside was even scarier: an octopus assistant with eight tentacles, a koala that released poisonous gas, a poker-faced killer with a knife, a landlady who talked about nothing but money, and a black python with a human torso and snake tail, wearing only a shirt. She couldn't beat any of them.
Fantesi decided to lie flat. There was no way she'd ever pay off that debt. She just wanted to be a lazy fish.
But the mad scientist wouldn't let her. She insisted Fantesi was the key. The A-ToX aliens wanted to seize the planet's core energy, and Fantesi had to save the world.
Fantesi looked at her right hand wrapped in gauze, then at Shi Yu's icy face.
"...Even a lazy fish has to save the world? Please, spare me!!!"
The plot is very exciting, but the emotional line may need to be polished a little more. Come on, author.
