Viya is the descendant of a successful trader who became separated from her people and ended up among the reef clans.

If you want to do business all across Pandora, and if the Sky People ever want to settle on Pandora, there is one merchant they absolutely can't afford to bypass: Viya.

It all begins with TAP, the Ambassador Program. Eight years before the battle at the Hallelujah Mountains, when Jake Sully became Toruk and led the Na'vi in driving out the Sky People, the RDA brought the children of the Sarentu back to their base and tried to train them from a young age into soldiers: killing machines belonging solely to the RDA. That's how Ahari put it.

The Sky People lost that battle eight years ago, and the RDA prepared to eliminate them all.

Viya still remembered the cold guns pointed at them. After the Sky People shot Ahari dead, the terror that had overwhelmed them returned...

After escaping with her life, Viya met Jake Sully's family among the reef clans, where they too had taken refuge. She also met their eldest son, Nateya.

She changed the ending in which he died in the story and successfully achieved a happy ending, but she had no idea that she, too, was just a failed experiment...
