The Nine Provinces in Turmoil: A Poor Scholar Takes Up His Brush to Shape the Realm

Lin Han was eighteen, a poor student from a humble family, with nothing to his name but his mother, on whom he depended.

The Great Yin dynasty had just been founded. The imperial examinations selected officials, literary talent could move the winds and clouds, and martial arts flourished as well.

On the day of the prefectural examinations, his essay stirred the literary energy, but jealous scions of powerful families plotted against him.

His exam paper was destroyed, his friend failed, and a powerful minister moved to crush his future.

He overcame every obstacle through sheer ability and entered the trials at the Longyuan Pavilion, astonishing everyone with his character, military strategy, and spirit patterns.

At the palace examination, he spoke frankly about the border threat. The emperor personally named him the top candidate, and from then on he stepped onto the stage of court and intrigue.

From studying through cold nights in a provincial city to the blood and flames of the frontier, from political infighting to aiding a new ruler, he carried the Way through literature and defended the country with martial prowess.

He established academies, repelled foreign enemies, and passed on the literary and martial arts, becoming a legend remembered for all time.

This is the story of a poor scholar who used brush and blade to write the tale of a great age.
