Journey to the West: My Master Is Subhuti, and I’ll Make the Toughest Trial

[Transmigration and a rise to the top + fiercely protective hero + turning Journey to the West upside down + exhilarating fantasy]

Su Xuan transmigrates into the primordial world and nearly gets carried off by a wild wolf from the start. He begins as a lowly mortal with the worst possible origins.

At death’s door, Patriarch Bodhi saves him.

A hundred years later:

He masters the Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations and the Seventy-Two Earthly Arts in three months.

He creates five stages of the Dao of the Heart from the Eight-Nine Arcane Arts and Bodhi’s Heart Method.

While the great powers of the primordial world are still plotting over the calamity of the Journey to the West, Su Xuan has already split the game board with a single strike of his sword.

Sun Wukong is pinned beneath Five Elements Mountain, his soul locked by the golden headband as Tang Sanzang chants the spell.

Su Xuan rides in on a cloud, shatters the headband with a single finger, and sweeps a cold gaze across Spirit Mountain. “My senior brother is not someone you can bully!”

Patriarch Bodhi rubs his forehead helplessly. “Disciple, try to keep a low profile…”

They say the Journey to the West is about earning merit. He sees a trap.

They say the golden headband is for discipline. He sees a shackle.

Su Xuan tramples White Bone Ridge and points his sword at Jin Chanzi. “Who are you Buddhists really saving, all beings or your pawns?”

The immortals and Buddhas across the sky fall abruptly silent.

It’s time for someone else to write this Journey to the West.
