The Wind Sweeps the Withered Flowers

When her parents' jobs change, Tang Ziyu transfers to Bincheng No. 2 High School. During military training, Zhao Xiaohui kindly invites her to join her, and the two become close friends. At the opening ceremony, Tang Ziyu first takes notice of the quiet top student Li Ziyu when she hears his name. His taciturn nature frustrates her, until the spring outing to Wangshan, when the four of them accidentally lose track of their group and spend a night together in the mountains. The experience forges a deep bond between them.

Thanks to a chance arrangement under the class-switching system, all four end up in Class Two, and Tang Ziyu becomes Li Ziyu's deskmate. Their everyday interactions quietly kindle an attraction, and their feelings for each other blossom in time. After choosing academic tracks in their senior year, Li Ziyu and Su Qi choose science, while Tang Ziyu and Zhao Xiaohui choose the humanities. Zhao Xiaohui focuses on the arts entrance exams, and the four make a pact to attend Bincheng University together. While accompanying Zhao Xiaohui to her exams, Li Ziyu's jealousy brings him and Tang Ziyu closer. But then he suddenly stops showing up for evening study sessions and eventually transfers to Hong Kong City without saying goodbye, leaving Tang Ziyu with a birthday confession that goes unanswered and a heart full of disappointment. Their group chat of four falls silent.

Tang Ziyu buries herself in her studies and gets into Yuncheng University, while Zhao Xiaohui is stuck in Bincheng after her parents change her college preferences. Su Qi then enlists in the military. In the end, Tang Ziyu is the only one of the four left to walk her path alone.
