You’re Only Here to Make Up the Numbers on a Dating Show, So Why Are You Living Off Her?

Chen Jing'an transmigrates to a parallel world, deep in debt from the start, only to be unexpectedly “picked up” by Ling Yilin, the entertainment industry's famously aloof “Queen of Detachment.” She brings him along to fill a spot on the hit dating show Heartbeat 100% and help save the day. The whole internet erupts: “Where did this nobody come from? Get out of the entertainment industry!” “No fake couple act! Let Ling Yilin shine on her own!” Chen Jing'an says, “Relax. I'll leave as soon as this episode is over.” But then the show takes an unexpected turn: While the other couples go on romantic dates, Chen Jing'an takes the Queen to haggle at the market, then whips up a Manchu-Han banquet that leaves the whole internet drooling; During the talent show, a rival male star shows off his piano skills, but Chen Jing'an casually sings and plays Love Confession Balloon, setting the trending charts on fire. The Queen's gaze at him turns downright smitten! Later, Chen Jing'an has a Golden Melody Award in one hand and a Best Actor trophy in the other. Ling Yilin throws herself into his arms in front of everyone: “Who said he was just here to fill a spot? I worked so hard to trick this husband into marrying me!” The internet's haters weep: “The theft of my wife is unforgivable, but this couple is just too good!”
