A Thousand-Mile Operation: My Childhood Friend Is the One in My Heart

Also known as "A Promise on the Long Wind"

Eighteen years ago, three-year-old Yibo Le, a young prince of the grasslands, made a childish declaration at An Yi’s hundred-day celebration in Jiangnan: “I’m going to marry little brother An Yi!” Laughter drowned out the innocent words, but they became a foreshadowing of fate.

Eighteen years later, An Yi has grown into an elegant young man, as graceful as bamboo yet awkward at heart. Regret over rejecting Yibo Le’s straightforward confession years ago gnaws at him. When a letter arrives from the grasslands saying that “Yibo Le is about to marry,” An Yi finally casts aside all his reserve and misgivings and heads north to follow his heart.

And all of this is the most tender “trap” laid for him by Yibo Le, the young man of the grasslands who has always waited with the certainty of an eagle.
