A Thought of Youth

The meaning of immortality - for all living beings, it is just an endless self-questioning, from strands of green hair to gray hair, asking about the spring and autumn, asking about the sun and the moon, but in the end they are still at a loss. For monks, the word immortality is never just empty words, but an obsession engraved in the bone marrow, an ambition with a sword pointed at the sky, and a determination to climb to the top of the road despite numerous bones. The grass and trees in the world are withering, and the birds and beasts are multiplying. In order to live longer, they put down roots desperately and forage for food at all costs, just to have one more look at the sun tomorrow. But who has ever thought carefully that from the moment we were born, the road under our feet has been walking towards death step by step. Every step we take is one step closer.
