The Christina Case Files

My name is Christina. I’m an oddities detective who loves her liquor and nearly went bankrupt.

My partner, Bob, is a former Scotland Yard detective who was fired from the force and is a staunch atheist.

The cases we take are always especially “outrageous”:

Bloody messages in mirrors that foretell death, waxwork figures imitating murder victims, violins playing death marches by themselves…

When all of London thinks it’s an evil spirit or a curse, I’m the only one who knows:

The deepest malice always comes from the human heart.

Until one day, my silver flask pointed at the royal family’s most beloved little princess began to glow fiercely.

Bob’s face turned deathly pale. “This time… are we really going to have to reason with a ghost?”

I took a sip of whiskey and looked at the princess’s eyes, which had suddenly turned silver-gray.

“No. This time, we need to talk to ‘her’ directly.”
