Transmigration Notes: Hunting the Heavenly Dao in the Cultivation World

Chen Mo transmigrates with no golden finger, no wise old mentor, and only a death journal left behind by his predecessor.

The journal reads: Congratulations on becoming Cleaner No. 1024. Your mission: kill the anomalies, commonly known as cultivation prodigies. We are extraterrestrial demons summoned by this world's Heavenly Dao, temporary workers who handle the dirty jobs. And I, your predecessor, No. 1023, have had my soul and spirit utterly destroyed.

He thinks it's just a brutal game of survival. Lie low, assassinate his targets, and scrape by between missions. Until one day, a prodigy kills him instead. Or he silently disappears, like all his predecessors.

Then he meets the "prodigy" he's supposed to kill: Lin Qingyu.

The man smiles at him and says, "Found you, No. 1024. Want to team up and take down the Heavens?"
