Three-and-a-Half-Year-Old Air Force Prodigy Builds a Fighter Jet for You

In 1978, on the southwestern border, a makeshift “monster” plane tears through the sky at supersonic speed. At the controls is a three-and-a-half-year-old toddler, clutching a wrench and covered in grease.

“J-5 uncles ahead, move aside! I'm looking for my dad, and I can't stop!”

Ace pilot Gu Beichen watches his “daughter” racing across the radar screen, and his entire worldview shatters.

This is only the beginning.

Back at the Air Force compound, Gu Ruoruo becomes every expert's worst nightmare and the apple of the Dragon Nation Air Force's eye.

While other kids play in the dirt, she takes apart radar equipment. While they draw pictures, she sketches vector-thrust nozzle designs on her bedsheets. While they memorize classical poems, she points at an enemy plane in the sky and says, “That plane's backside is so ugly. The airflow doesn't like it. I can shoot it down.”

In this exhilarating era, Gu Ruoruo uses one tiny hand to pull the Dragon Nation's aviation industry thirty years ahead and into the age of stealth!

The experts weep. “Please, our little ancestor! Leave our poor brains a way to survive!”

Gu Ruoruo sucks on her pacifier and points at the latest aircraft carrier design. “No, I think this ship could fly a little more!”
