The story starts from a financial catastrophe that swept Mars - the "Great Collapse". Through the encounter between former financial architect Miao Zhixi and college student Leo, the buried truth is gradually revealed: Mars is not only a colony of the Earth, but also a carefully designed giant social laboratory.
Thirty years later, Miao Zhixi, who had been betrayed and lost everything for exposing the shady story, and Herman, a scientist who secretly adhered to the truth, and others jointly planned a radical revolution called "Project Lilith." The plan attempts to use a special virus to permanently change the physiological trajectory of Martian women in order to get rid of the control of the Earth and strive for true independence and future for Mars.
However, after the plan was launched, it not only triggered the collapse and rebirth of the social structure, but also touched upon fundamental challenges to human emotions, ethics, and identity recognition. An unbridgeable physiological gap has arisen between infected and uninfected people. Collective synchronization and individual freedom collide fiercely, and the Earth Fleet is watching eagerly from orbit.
