From the Start as Li Chengqian: I Talk Li Shimin into Conquering the World

I woke up as twelve-year-old Li Chengqian. Facing the strongest carbon-based life-form of the seventh century, the ruler of Asia, and the founder of the Xuanwu Gate succession method: my father, Li Shimin. All I wanted was to lie flat. After all, rebelling against the Xuanwu Gate God of War meant certain death. And inheriting the throne in the proper order was a pipe dream. But then a System came online and bound itself to Li Shimin. The larger his territory grew, the greater my rewards would be. If the Tang dragon banner flew across the entire world, I could become an unparalleled Sword Immortal. To stay alive, and, more importantly, to become an immortal, I had no choice but to start wildly feeding him visions of glory: “Father, doesn't Goguryeo look like a scar left by the former Sui? We should conquer it!” “Your Majesty, beyond the Western Regions, everything is marked ‘resources.’ We should claim it!” “Your Majesty! There are fertile lands at the ends of the oceans. Wouldn't it be a waste to leave them to the barbarians? We should seize them!” From then on, my job was to paint grand promises from the rear. My father, the strongest emperor of the seventh century, made them a reality at the front.
