The Long Road Through the Jianghu

The best kind of jianghu is one where someone is there to make trouble and laugh with you, and will always stand in front of you or behind you when you need them.

Lu Lan wants nothing more than to become a great heroine. She takes her childhood friend Xu Jingzhi and her “patron” Yun Qi and runs away from home.

The jianghu she imagines: settling scores, earning fame across the land.

The jianghu she gets: getting stuck in a dog hole, falling into a pit while chasing a fox, and even rescuing a kidnapped girl along the way.

But this is her jianghu:

Xu Jingzhi is always there, expertly keeping things under control and quietly cleaning up after her.

Yun Qi never stops complaining, but always has her back, happily “whaling” to cover the costs.

And along the way, they meet people who need a helping hand.

“You used to be the ones who took me out to roam the jianghu.”

“Now it’s my turn to protect the jianghu we share.”

This is a story about dreams, friendship, and growing up. Who cares if their martial arts aren’t that impressive? With each other by their side, everywhere in the jianghu feels like home.
