Ice and Fire Island tells the story of six survivors from different backgrounds who flee a famine and drift to a mysterious deserted island containing tropical, temperate, and frigid regions. As they struggle to survive in extreme environments, they must not only contend with mutated creatures and the truth behind the “fusion experiments” revealed by ancient ruins, but also face tests of their humanity and tangled emotions. Blending geographical wonders, the details of survival, and psychological horror, the story ends with the arrival of a rescue team. The survivors make different choices and reach an open ending that explores the boundary between civilization and nature.
