The early morning wind carried the fragrance of vegetation, and I set foot on the stone steps to climb the mountain. My steps were brisk at first, and I felt particularly comfortable with the wild flowers and birds chirping along the way. Halfway through the journey, the stone steps gradually became steeper, my legs began to swell, and my breathing became rapid. I wanted to stop here several times. But looking at the looming mountain top in front of me, I gritted my teeth and slowed down the pace and climbed up step by step. The higher you go up, the wider your view becomes. When we finally reached the top of the mountain, overlooking the rolling mountains and lingering clouds below, all the fatigue disappeared. The wind blew across my cheeks, bringing bursts of refreshment. At this moment, I truly felt the meaning of perseverance.
