I’ve Led the Entire Universe Astray

The state of the universe: Civilizations are ranked by their “striving scores.” Low-ranking civilizations are forcibly relocated, and their residents are sent to mine dark-matter coal.

The main event: The “Cosmic Civilization Promotion Tournament,” held once every ten thousand years. Each galaxy sends representatives to compete in events such as interstellar construction speed trials, cross-dimensional technology challenges, and species talent contests.

Unspoken rule: Contestants must be bound to the Striving God System, which broadcasts live updates: “The insectoid representative next door has worked for 300 stellar hours straight!” “The Andromeda representative just advanced to dimensional technology. Come on, you can do it too~”

Lin Muyu: Earth’s representative from the Milky Way’s Solar System. Former job: an electrician for a residential complex. His special talent is fixing Wi-Fi while napping on his toolbox.

Why he was forced to compete: Earth was placed on the relocation list for having the lowest average striving score. The United Nations used an AI system to draw lots, and he was chosen simply because he was slacking off and napping during the draw. The system judged him to be “calm under pressure, with the bearing of a great general.”
