The King of Hell Is Here for Me

Tang Tang, a corporate drone who just wants to laze around, finds her life completely derailed after one night of sleep paralysis. First she keeps running into ghosts, then the Black and White Impermanence show up at her door in the middle of the night to announce that the supreme King of Hell, Yan Yao, has chosen her as his wife! Her refusal is ignored, and the icy King of Hell comes to propose in person. One declaration, “The contract is sealed,” and she’s dragged aboard against her will. Forced to live with a husband whose presence could freeze the air and whose every stroke in the Book of Life and Death glows with eerie green light, Tang Tang’s days are now filled with complaining about traffic jams on the Bridge of Helplessness, watching the latest flavors of Granny Meng’s soup being developed, “feeding” the big boss Yan takeout even though he can’t taste it, and shivering under his “typical guy” brand of affection (a bone whistle as a protective charm?). But when her unusual constitution draws the covetous attention of all three realms and entanglements from a past life come to light, Yan Yao shields her behind him: “Touch her, and your soul will be scattered.” Follow this sharp-tongued mortal girl as she joins forces with the outwardly cold but secretly tender King of Hell, laughing her way through supernatural chaos, underworld reforms, and a shocking conspiracy to bring joy to all three realms and find a lifetime of sweet love, while perhaps turning the Eighteen Levels of Hell into a daycare? Her King of Hell husband has come calling: it’s a fright, but also the strongest backing she could ask for and the sweetest trouble of her life!
