"The Legend of Wandering Heroes (Part 1 and 2)" is a long martial arts novel written by Zhang Xueqian. It was adapted from the folk martial arts storytelling "Da Luohan" and was published by Northern Literature and Art Publishing House in October 1988. The book is set in the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. It is divided into two volumes and ninety-four chapters. It tells the story of Wang Shouren, the governor of the Metropolitan Procuratorate and the minister of the Ministry of War, who was framed by the Five Mountains Lotus Gate and Ning Wang Zhu Chenhao's recruiting forces in Jiugong Mountain because of his uprightness. His imperial edict, Shang Fangjian, and the "three treasures" of my personal presence were stolen, which led to the disputes in the world. The work revolves around the main line of the wandering hero Cai Fang leading a group of heroes to assist Wang Shouren in regaining the Three Treasures. Through plots such as exploring and breaking formations, the struggle against the villains Hai Xiao, Arhat, Huang Yun and other thieves is connected. With the help of the older generation of swordsmen, the group of knights went through many hardships and finally exposed Prince Ning's conspiracy and returned the three treasures to the court.
