My Little Pony: In Search of Friends of Miracles

We are all Willie. We’ve stood at the same assembly line for so long that we’ve forgotten we can hum a tune. We’ve stared at the ceiling late at night, unable to remember the name of the floppy-eared teddy bear from our childhood.

Until he transmigrates to a land of sweet apples and clover.

There, a purple unicorn gives a gentle tap on the wall. A little bear clutching a jar of honey comes through the thick fog to find him. And six little ponies each tell him the same thing in their own way: you don’t have to be useful to deserve love. You just have to be here.

This is a story about being caught when you fall. Caught by friends, caught by yourself, and caught by the little bear who is always waiting for him in the crooked-necked oak tree.

If you’ve ever felt that you don’t deserve to be loved, this book is for you.
