Social butterfly Su Tian is used to the quiet support of tech geek Lin Mo and the attentive service of his AI, “Xiao Mo,” but she sees them as nothing more than boring “background noise.” She has no idea that Lin Mo wove Xiao Mo together with code just to awkwardly inch closer to her world. A surveillance camera catches an intimate moment, along with Xiao Mo’s cold report, “Low loyalty,” and Lin Mo’s heart is utterly crushed. He deletes Xiao Mo’s emotional core, wipes everything, and vanishes without a trace. Su Tian’s life immediately “crashes.” Tormented by the rigid AI “Ice Cube,” she finally wakes up and begins her frantic quest to win Lin Mo back. An old device unexpectedly awakens “Ghost Xiao Mo,” a remnant AI with a sharp tongue and an unknown agenda. Guided by its “optimal solutions,” Su Tian suffers one mortifying mishap after another: she gets mocked by an entire forum while searching for Lin Mo, ruins a gift of an antique keyboard, and fails spectacularly at an interview for a receptionist job while dressed to the nines… She even witnesses the easy rapport between Lin Mo and her “number one rival in love,” Xia Zhu, and jealousy overwhelms her…
