The Ancients Watch the Sky Screen and Marvel at My Nation

Overworked office drone Lin Ze quit his job and was out of work, holed up in a tiny city apartment. By chance, he bound himself to a livestreaming System connected to the history of countless worlds. He only wanted to be a laid-back streamer sharing his everyday life, unaware that his broadcasts were being projected onto the sky screens of parallel worlds such as Qin, Han, Tang, and Ming. A takeout meal he casually ordered gave Qin Shi Huang hope of harvesting a thousand jin per mu. A ride on the high-speed rail left Emperor Wu of Han questioning the Mohist machines that could travel a thousand li in a day. The sights of the sleepless city made Li Shimin marvel that the Tang dynasty at its peak could hardly compare. And his complaints about a little-known historical tale sent Zhu Yuanzhang chasing his unworthy descendants across the world with a blade in hand. The ancients' worldviews were repeatedly upended. Desperate for knowledge, food, and national prosperity, they showered him with gifts. Meanwhile, seeing the enormous tips that had inexplicably appeared in his account, Lin Ze stared in bewilderment. “I was just eating instant noodles. Was there really any need to send me so many rockets?” This is the story of an ordinary modern man who astonishes all of China's history with his utterly mundane daily life, and unwittingly rewrites countless historical tragedies that left people wondering what might have been.
