But it's not suitable for hardcore science fiction
The advantage of "The Three-Body Problem" as hard science fiction is lost: it only assumes the degree of development without too many modifications to real science. Some of these settings (probably derived from the game) are generally a bit problematic.
For example, it would be bad if the quality of matter could be changed at will. In the special theory of relativity (classical physics), it is believed that the mass of matter increases as the speed of matter increases. In quantum mechanics, it is believed that the more carefully you observe the speed of a material, the less carefully you observe its kinetic energy (E=mc²). But in general, quality cannot be changed at will.
So I think it's a purely entertaining article, so don't use your brain when reading it.
