Born on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, the Stone Monkey is naturally clever and ambitious. After a string of Buddhist prayer beads he acquired by chance lets him glimpse the secrets of Heaven and Earth, he sets out to uncover the truth. Early in his journey, a misunderstanding leads him into a fight with the Bull Demon King, and he nearly loses his life. He escapes through his own wits and later receives guidance from Erlang Shen, learning martial arts and magic. After enduring severe trials of his resolve and character, his strength steadily grows.
In search of the truth, the Stone Monkey becomes caught up in the pilgrimage to the West. First, he braves the trials of the Flaming Mountains, then meets Tang Sanzang by chance and decides to accompany him westward. Along the way, he faces the Bone Demon’s temptations, Red Boy’s fiery attack, and the Spider Demons’ traps. He also resolves the crisis of Tang Sanzang being detained in the Kingdom of Women, and unexpectedly obtains the Golden Cudgel during a fierce battle, making him all the more formidable. During this time, he learns that Sun Wukong has been sealed by the Tathagata. He fearlessly wreaks havoc in the Heavenly Palace and battles the gods of Heaven. His sincerity and perseverance eventually move the Tathagata, and he succeeds in rescuing Sun Wukong.
Afterward, the Stone Monkey fights alongside Sun Wukong, whose potential has awakened, and Sha Wujing. He resists Bajie’s temptations, passes the trials of Yellow Wind Ridge, and uncovers the secret of the Bull Demon King and his wife controlling the Flaming Mountains, using negotiations to secure their cooperation. After overcoming countless dangers, the group finally reaches the Temple of Thunder and passes the Buddha’s test, obtaining the scriptures that contain the ultimate principles of Heaven and Earth.
The Stone Monkey and Tang Sanzang return to the human world with the scriptures and spread their wisdom to benefit all living beings. The Stone Monkey then returns to the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, leading his people to prosperity. His heroic deeds spread throughout the land, and blessed and protected by the Tathagata, he ultimately becomes a legendary hero remembered for all time, forging an eternal tale of the Victorious Fighting Buddha.
It's very interesting. It should be said that after chapter 30, it's a new starting point.
