Lin Xi is the descendant of an experimental subject carrying sinister blood. To keep him safe, his parents sealed his powers when he was young. After he came of age, the seal began to weaken, and one paranormal incident followed another. Recruited into the government’s special incident response unit, the Night Watch, he embarked on a thrilling life of tackling dungeon instances and devouring monsters. His partner and captain, Shen Que, is a cold, hyper-competitive workaholic, sharp-tongued but dependable. As they risk their lives together in eerie dungeons, feelings quietly develop between them. As Lin Xi’s origins, Shen Que’s secret mission, and the apocalyptic powers entangled in their bloodlines are gradually revealed, they must face the ultimate choice: destroy each other, or join forces against the final darkness that seeks to devour the world. A battle of redemption, woven from blood and love, begins.
