The Dream Cage: A Terrifying Cycle in the World of Words

[Infinite flow + mild horror + folk horror + anthology]

I’m Lin Luo, an online novelist. After getting into a car accident while saving someone and falling into a coma, my consciousness somehow landed inside The Twelve Fates, the paranormal novel I’d spent three years writing!

When I opened my eyes, I had become Zhang Peng, a wake keeper. The time was forever stuck at 11:27 p.m., and I was trapped in an endless death loop.

A black cat’s eerie cries in the funeral hall warned of danger. A hidden hole lurked in the coffin. Red-eyed corpse-eating rats gnawed at the body. My fellow wake keepers died one after another, and the corpse even turned into a zombie right there!

Every time I died horribly, I returned to the start of the loop with all my memories of that death intact.

No one believed me. The black cat was my only guide.

The Twelve Fates: dreams as cages, memories as keys.

This time, clutching the memories of my past-life deaths, I swear I’ll break the deadly trap of the Rat of the Dream Devourer and escape this prison of life and death woven from obsession!
