It is a collection of endless unfamiliar spaces, non-Euclidean corridors, and things lurking at the edge of your vision. They call it the Backrooms. No one comes here willingly, but some people are unlucky enough to… fall in.

This book is neither a guide nor a hero’s epic. It is a stack of lost diaries, fragments of transcripts, and a final phone memo that was never sent. Their authors include students, nurses, drivers, programmers… You will read about an architect drawing floor plans that should not exist in an endlessly duplicated office building, until his sketches begin extending themselves… A mother in a sealed room filled with the cries of babies, frantically making lists and comparing them as she searches for a child who may never have existed…
