The heroine is the sole inheritor and master of a lineage of paper effigy makers. With her nimble hands, she can craft paper figures that bridge the worlds of the living and the dead. The hero is a real estate tycoon with an innately yin-heavy constitution that makes him prone to attracting ghosts. For three years, the heroine arranges the “Ten Thousand Homes Ablaze Array” across his luxurious estate, and folds a paper effigy for him every day to keep in his suit pocket and ward off disaster. The hero dislikes how her paper-cutting makes the house look like a funeral hall, and brings home a top overseas-trained female architect, his first love. Under the pretext of a “minimalist modern style,” the first love dismantles the heroine’s array and throws away all the paper effigies. The heroine divorces him and leaves. That very night, the luxurious estate turns into a “Rakshasa Bazaar” where a hundred ghosts roam.
Although the story is short, it is very exciting and the ending is also very good, except that the male protagonist is unclean is a bit off, but everything else is very good, recommended 👍
