The Haunted Factory: A Guide to the 996 Work Schedule

(No livestreaming, no nation-versus-nation war, just wild-brained wits and strategy, unconventional rule-based horror, a wage slave’s resentment, and capital’s callousness)

“Congratulations, you’ve become the one and only S-rank chosen one...”

“Bullshit! The administrator admitted it herself: she dragged me in purely because her computer froze while she was watching a show!”

Wage slave Lu Ren stumbles into a death-trap instance. From the start, he gets scammed by a little-girl accountant wearing “stitches made from her mother’s corpse” and saddled with an outrageous debt of 120 million!

With death waiting either way, Lu Ren completely loses it and awakens “virus” privileges, turning a horror instance into a workplace reform operation:

• A vengeful ghost comes for him? Submit a ticket: NPC texture error, recommend forced deletion!

• The final boss is a husky? Conduct a physical audit: turn himself into a “classified archive (.zip)” and lodge it in the dog’s throat, choking the warden into unemployment!

He thought clearing the instance meant he could clock out, but then he returned to reality...

Su Xiaoxiao (creditor): “Until you’ve paid off the interest, your life is my fixed asset.”

Administrator: “Your cheat is a virus. Use it again and I’ll delete your account.”

Lu Ren breaks down: “I want to file a complaint! This lousy world is one enormous amateur operation!!”
