Sun Xiaocun graduated from the animal husbandry program at an agricultural university. Unable to find work in the city after graduation, he returned to the outskirts of Tanzhou, the provincial capital, and raised chickens and pigs in the mountains near his hometown.
His livestock farm was on a mountain called Shijiudong, named for the dozen or so caves of various sizes on its slopes. On the side facing the neighboring village, Shijiudong was bordered by a sheer cliff four or five hundred meters high, with a single iron suspension bridge covered in wooden planks providing the only way across.
Sun Xiaocun was on his way back to Shijiudong in a farm truck, carrying a ton of salt, two tons of rice for animal feed, and other everyday supplies, when black rain suddenly fell from the sky. The apocalypse began.
No special abilities, no System, and no pocket dimension. All he had was the knowledge in his head, a relatively abundant supply of necessities, the seclusion of a place far from residential areas, and the livestock on his farm.
But after the apocalypse, he watched his fellow villagers struggle to survive and quickly reveal their ugly, selfish natures. Sun Xiaocun's inner turmoil can only be described as growing through pain...
