A new work is here!
A fanfiction based on The Alley: a new pairing featuring Wen Shishi.
Content warnings: If you dislike the Zhuang family, this may not be for you. The Lin family won't keep bailing them out, and the Wolong and Fengchu pairing is broken up.
After their neighbors, the Zhuang family, repeatedly “borrowed grain without returning it” and “mooched off them by refusing to leave,” Lin mother Song Ying slapped down an IOU. “Sign it! From now on, we're done bailing your family out!”
The gaokao was reinstated, and the times were changing fast.
The Lin father and son went into business and thrived, while their daughter got into Fudan University and became a lawyer. The Zhuang family, meanwhile, became trapped in their own schemes, with siblings turning against each other over compensation for demolition.
Lin Dongzhe and Zhuang Xiaoting, childhood sweethearts, went their separate ways after a rift opened between their families. He met Wen Shishi, a woman from a scholarly family, and they made their way together in Shanghai. She, torn between insecurity and stubborn pride, left on her own.
Thirty years of storms, two roads diverging.
As bulldozers rolled through the old alley, some rose to live in high-rises, while others watched their dreams crumble.
“Some lines should have been drawn long ago. A soft heart won't earn gratitude; it'll only raise an enemy.”
When the demolition bulldozers rolled over the old house, they buried both the warmth of the past and a time that could never return.
“Some boundaries should have been drawn long ago; some people should have been left behind long ago.”
This is a family struggle spanning an era, and the divergence and choices of two families swept along by the tide of change.
It's really hard to describe in words!!!!!
It can only be said in a word.
Completely different, the characters are also strange, and they look very depressing.
I originally thought it was a fanfic, but it turned out to be a modified version. Except for the name, everything else is different. Moreover, after each chapter, I tell you a lot of truths, which makes me speechless.
It's too OOC, so don't write it in the name of someone from an alley. It has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, oh, except that the names are the same...
