This is a story about "lighting a light in the dark and accepting that the light might burn you." The journey of the protagonist Chen Mo is from a black and white law enforcer to a "night watchman" who struggles to anchor principles in the grayscale of chaos. In the end, he may choose to become the new master of that dark organization, not for power, but to "tame this monster from within" and complete a tragic and complicated redemption.
