Seventies Neighbor, Where Did You Hide My Wife?

[Fake demure young educated woman vs. genuinely rugged country brute] + [A foul-mouthed man and a woman who loves to stir the pot, day in and day out] + [Villainess and loyal dog] + [A husband who follows his wife's lead] Su Yueliang is not only exquisitely self-serving, but sharp-tongued, too. With her alone, she has her father and stepmother wrapped around her finger. Then she met Shen Zheng, and she was at a loss. This brute would grab a stool and smash it over someone's head at the slightest disagreement. Shen Zheng is fierce and hot-tempered, a notorious troublemaker in the village with extremely high standards. Nearly thirty when he met Su Yueliang, he fell for her like a derelict house catching fire, helpless to pull himself out. The villagers all said he was a toad trying to eat swan meat. But who could have guessed that, thanks to his shameless persistence and impressive bedroom skills, he really would win the beauty's heart? Their days were sweet as honey. The only one who suffered was the brigade leader, who had to clean up after the young couple every day. Then one day, Shen Zheng jolted, drenched in sweat. “Wife, how come you have another fiancé, and he's the male lead?” Su Yueliang raised her hand and slapped him. “If you're not doing it, get out and boil some water.” The male lead, Lin Jinshu, nearly ground his teeth to dust. “Bah, short-lived fool. Let's see how long you last.” “Hey, Shen Zheng, don't go work on the canal in the back hills. Stay home and keep Yueliang company.”
