[Transmigration + Mystery + Tang Dynasty]
Forensic examiner Sun Fazheng transmigrates into the body of a low-status coroner during the Zhenguan era. He had hoped to keep his head down and grow old with his wife, but one murder after another changes his mind.
A noblewoman from Chang'an hangs herself in her bedchamber, a merchant from the Western Regions is found bleeding in a storeroom, and a serial killer throws Chang'an into chaos...
When modern forensic science meets ancient political intrigue, Sun Fazheng tosses out an autopsy report: “Your Highness, your trusted aide is the murderer!”
Li Shimin slams the table and leaps to his feet. “My worthy subject, I grant you the post of Minister of the Court of Judicial Review!”
When the truth comes to light and heads roll, all of the Tang Empire is left on its knees.
