Reborn: Am I an Esports Coach Now?

When an outdated KPL castoff transmigrates to a parallel world where esports is still in its infancy...

Lu Yao opens his eyes to find that he’s a substitute for an internet cafe team on Blue Star.

Here, Honor of Kings tournaments are still stuck in the primitive “solo carry” era:

· Pro players worship mechanics and charge into team fights all at once

· Coaches only know how to order takeout, and players decide the draft based on their personal preferences

· Tactics? Macro play? Lane management? Never heard of them

· Heroes nerfed into irrelevance in his old world are worshipped as gods here

And Lu Yao’s mind holds the ultimate answers for every version from the next five years:

S18’s “Elevator Strategy,” S21’s “Yellow Knife Side Lane,” S24’s “Jungle Carry Dynasty,” S28’s “Specialist Freaks”...

Every strategy is enough to turn this backwater esports world on its head.

And so, the Godfather arrives...

He teaches a prodigy a lesson in an internet cafe tournament with “Mid Lane Da Qiao”:

“Honor of Kings is a five-player game.”

He crushes pro teams in the lower leagues with “Sacrificial Flow Athena”:

“Even deaths can be a resource.”

He scores a pentakill with “Jungle Dian Wei” in the KPL finals:

“There are no weak heroes, only outdated ways of thinking.”

As everyone frantically studies his tactics, Lu Yao smiles:

“What I’ve shown you is only the tip of the iceberg in my strategy library.”

“I haven’t even brought out the real answers for this version yet.”

From internet cafe substitute to world champion, from an unknown to someone worshipped by the masses...

He shows Blue Star that the limits of individual talent can never beat the tide of strategy.
