It tells the story of programmer Li Ming who was trapped in a strange place called "Madhouse" after working overtime. The rules here are ridiculous, updated daily, and violators will be punished. Li Ming got acquainted with Xiaoli, Lao Wang and others, and gradually discovered that the asylum was actually the cognitive experimental site of the "Eden Project". The Dean takes control of everything, trying to reshape human thinking through a system of rules. In the struggle to maintain reason and explore the truth, Li Ming grew from a passive recipient to a "gardener", dealing with the gap between system control and human nature. When the truth of the experiment intersects with his own past, he must choose: completely obey, rise up to resist, or find a third way in madness?
