A Sweet Return Kiss

(Mild angst)

The night he caught his sister-in-law in a “new romance,” he threw down three million and told the man to get lost.

His sister-in-law agreed on the surface, but kept seeing the man behind his back. He intervened again and again, all to protect the relationship his older brother had spent years building. Instead of understanding him, his sister-in-law grew annoyed with and resentful of him.

Gu Yitang never expected her ex, who had been out of touch for a year, to come back and make his first move by using money to threaten her boyfriend into breaking up with her.

She wept her eyes out, then “dumped” her boyfriend in a flash. As soon as her ex left, she messaged her boyfriend to turn the car around and come back for the holiday.

Seeing his sister-in-law cuddling with her lover in the car, he darkened his expression, rolled down the window, lit a cigarette, and taunted the couple sarcastically: “So much for not biting the hand that feeds you?”

When his older brother returned home, their identities switched back and everything went back to normal. He was supposed to get engaged to his girlfriend, care for her and their unborn child, and walk down the aisle with her. One day, he came across his sister-in-law, drenched and forlorn in the rain. Unable to bear leaving her there, he drove her home.

Once was all it took for there to be a second time. With his warmth and concern, his sister-in-law began to develop feelings for him.
