This is an evolutionary history of institutional cognition, recording the slow transformation of ordinary civil servant Zhang Wenyuan from 2001 to 2021, from a "stupid young man" to a "smart person" in the officialdom. The book abandons golden fingers and support from nobles, and focuses on how a young man with a liberal arts background and no background struggled to understand the unspoken and explicit rules of officialdom through suffering, backstabbing and reflection over and over again in the four-level system of township, county, city bureau, and provincial department, and finally formed a unique set of "officialdom cultivation" - not the power and calculation of thick and black science, but on the basis of understanding the complexity of the system, adhering to principles more intelligently, and promoting the wisdom of survival and development of work.
