On the seventh day of the apocalypse, Lin You stares at the gray world outside her window. “People have turned into monsters, and I still haven't paid off my mortgage.”
A System voice explodes in her head: [Doomsday Travel System activated! Mission: Tour the wasteland!]
She looks at her battered off-road RV. The right door is missing, the tires are flat, and the windshield is cracked like a spiderweb.
“Never mind the mission. Couldn't you at least give me a decent car?”
[The Host must collect materials to upgrade and maintain it. This System provides... labor on your behalf.]
And so the whole vibe changes. While others scavenge for cans in the ruins, Lin You dismantles a shipping container for its steel panels. “This one's thick. Perfect for patching the door.”
The System silently gets to work. A beam of light coils around the steel panel, welding it into place automatically, while the tires inflate on their own. Lin You pats the back of the vehicle. “Not bad, System. You've got some skills.”
On the road, a man who pretends to need help pulls a gun and tries to steal her vehicle. Lin You locks the doors. “Get lost. This is my ride, and it's nuclear-proof!”
The man curses under his breath, only to be dragged away by a charging mutant the next second. As his screams ring out, Lin You steps on the gas without looking back.
Not bad, the heroine design is okay, she has brains, and the cat is interesting. Recommended
It's very interesting. One person, one cat and one car travel through the apocalypse. It's thrilling and exciting, but it's too short.
