The world is swallowed by “reversing earth veins.” Water surges up from the ground and floods the cities, leaving survivors huddled on a handful of highlands. Hunger and dampness breed madness: some lose their minds and become “lunatics,” while others sell their souls for half a bag of biscuits.
Su Chen, a former top supermarket purchasing manager, was fired by his boss as a lunatic for “hoarding too many soon-to-expire supplies.” Now, in this watery wasteland, he uses his cool head and miser’s obsession to establish the only resource transfer station. Former elites kneel and beg for supplies, reduced to ants. Su Chen watches coldly, fiercely protects his own, refuses empty promises, and controls the order of the wasteland with supplies.
There are no saviors here anymore, only the rules of the transfer station.
