When the apocalypse arrives, Xu Pingfan is trapped in an endless cycle of death. He gains the chance to start over without limit, but each time he wakes, he randomly loses someone most important to him. As the experience he has gained through blood and tears brings him closer and closer to the light of hope that might save the world, he discovers to his horror that every rescue he "successfully" completes lays the groundwork for another loss.
